Who we are
Wildlife Wealth Pty Ltd (Reg No. 2016/512837/07), is a farming enterprise that specialises in beef feedlot investments. The company is a 100% black–owned entity, founded by current CEO Sicelo Brian Mbatha.
Brian is a management consultant with a comprehensive knowledge of real estate and information technology and has spent more than two decades working as an Executive Manager in the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform (National Deeds Office), prior to entering the private sector.
During his time with the Department, he worked in the field of Animal & Veld Management in both the North West and Free State Provinces, which provided him with the necessary background to launch Wildlife Wealth.
Despite this strong foundation, Brian has spent the past several years preparing even more intensely for the launch of his company, by acquiring voluntary farm management experience and exposure. This has been achieved by assisting and working closely with farmers and trainers on the subjects of Livestock, Dairy and Vegetable Farming. In November 2014, he attended an introductory course in Small Stock Management, presented by the Agricultural Research Council (ARC). This provided him with additional knowledge on the following subjects: Classification of Small Stock Breeds; Housing and Handling Facilities; General Flock Management; Breeding and Mating of Rams and Ewes; Lambing and Weaning; Observing and Inspecting Animals; General Health Management; and Feeding Management.
In 2015, he undertook an introductory course in Beef Cattle Management, also presented by the ARC. This comprised of: Breed Choice and Cattle Breeds is SA; Selecting Cattle for functional efficiency; Breeding Bull Management; Breeding Seasons; Nutrition & Health Management; Reproduction; and Record Keeping. In the same year, he completed a practical course in Brahman Herd Planning and Selection, presented by the Brahman Cattle Breeders’ Society of South Africa.
